Forex Price Charts Knowledge Base
How do charts on forex platforms work? Lets say the the computer chart moves the price from 1,5000 to 1,5001-a one pip move. Why?I could understand if the price would move once a day but every second or so?A one pip move has to mean something, there is a reason why it moved for only one pip.Whats that reason? Also how does the chart know to move the prices?
How to get the current price of a particular currency from the forex chart? In the forex websites, a online chart is being shown, which describes the up and down of the rates of different currencies, such as EUR/USD, USD/JPY etc. But how can I know the exact current market rate of a particular currency by seeing these chats? Suppose, a chart is showing as below:- Current Pair Last Bid Offer Change High Low Time EUR/USD 1.3595 1.3594 1.3596 ^ 1.3603 1.3592 5:35:28AM Now, I want to get the converted value from USD to INR from the above chart? How can I get that?
Live Rupee Price (as traded Vs. Dollar and Euro), which site provides it? Forex rate has great impact on prices at which Commodities are traded. What is the relation between change in USD/INR and change in Euro/INR to change in the commodity exchange prices? Which website provides live price charts of Indian Rupee? Yahoo finance does it, but the prices are not live. Live USD/INR prices are shown in CNBC TV 18 and CNBC Awaaz TV Channels.
I have skill in analyze price chart and I am looking for investor. how can I get a serious investor? trading with index, commodity or forex is very profitable. but it is too risky, especially for someone who can predict the price move. I think a good investor who having much fund will happy if he find someone having skill in analyze price moving. Because it is useful in forex, commodity or index trading. I am willing to be tested for that. I will not look for investor if I have fund already, because I will use for my self of course. I am from Indonesia - Jakarta
WHO HAS THE BEST REAL TIME EQUITIES CHARTS? My forex broker has great charts so I can draw emas and trend lines enabling me to set price traps which simplify my enteries but have not found a comparable equities chart source which has limited my trading due to hesitation because of lack of solid set ups ,
looking for desktop charts? I am looking for a relatively good priced charting platform that supports several differant markets, mostly stocks, forex, and futures... I'd like answers from someone who has experience w/ the platform they are supporting but any information is good. The most important factor is that the charting package supports the markets listed above.
Forex - data questions? Is there a website which will allow me to: a) download tick by tick forex price changes for a particular currency pair on a certain day, b) scroll across a chart showing minute by minute or tick by tick changes of a currency pair during a 24 hour period c) try and use some sort of online tool to do comparative analysis of RSI of several currency pairs on one screen or look at correlations i.e. basically a suite of tools to undertake analystics on currencies using multiple factors and variables Also what I be right in thinking that it is incorrect to ask whether it is possible to see market trade information on forex because all trades are OTC (over the counter) and therefore no centralised exchange is available to see for example what price level stocks have been executed at in the last 24 hours?
Suitable Forex stop loss day trading m5? I am stuck between using a 5 or 10 pip stop trading the m5 charts, please help! Why does everybody lose at Forex? There's basically a 50% chance of winning when trading with Forex. The bid/ask price is either going to go up or down. So why do most investors lose money when trading? Wouldn't the law of averages dictate that over time half the people trading should make money? It's interesting to me that most people have the problem of opening a position and right off the bat the are negative (due to the spread). Slowly but surely regardless of how you read the charts, you start to lost more money on this trade. And most of the time that a person is supposed to be 'trading', their are actuating waiting to the numbers to turn. Either this or they close their position before allowing enough time for the prices to change in their favor. So why is it that most traders almost always are unable to successfully be a trader? You don't hear about most people doing well with Forex and being consistent.
Forex forecast about the EUR/USD? What do you think about the eur/usd exchange rate in the short term? Currently the rate is: 1.3532. Technically, we see a constant uptrend since yesterday...the last our even was formed the so called "tree white soldiers" which is a potential signal for an uptrend. However I am not big supporter of the "technical analysis" since it shows only the current position of the market, but the price is driven by economic events not by charts. So, talking about economics, here's the situation about the eur/usd pair: Euro: The European Central Bank decided to leave the interest rate unchanged at 3.75% yesterday USA: 12:30 US Producer Price Index (MoM) (Mar) now:0.6% - was:1.3% 12:30 US Producer Price Index ex Food & Energy (MoM) (Mar) now:0.2%- was:0.4% 12:30 US Trade Balance (Feb) now:$60.50B -was:$59.12B I think the euro is now overbought and as we know from dow jones: "the history repeats". So I would sell to reach 20 pips around 1.35. thanks

Is this a good forex trading strategy that could work to make you a millionaire? Please read/advise. Thanks? Okay, so, currently I'm 18 and I've looked into different possibilities of how I could become a millionaire using the forex market as my vehicle. I have discovered that using 1:100 leverage or even 1:50 - 1:25 is a bad idea if you want to be safe about it, and using a more modest 1:10 leverage instead is best for my chances of success. What I've also discovered is that the forex markets trends last months or even years. So, my plan is as follows: 1) Start with $1,000 in my new forex trading account. 2) Use 1:10 leverage always to reduce a lot of risk. 3) Use a stop-loss of all my trading capital in every trade. 4) Keep the minimum take-profits as long as its more than what my commissions would be. 5) Just follow monthly chart trends, i.e. if the trends gone up for the past year on a yearly chart, and it shows it in a monthly chart that its going up as well, just follow the trend up along with it and keep on going up until I think its going to stop going up by taking advatage of lots of small take profits along the way. 6) Be aware of economic news and reports. Example: Say the GBP/USD is trading at £1.0000-$1.5000, and I place a bet to buy GBP/USD at this price at a 1:10 leverage, or $15,000 worth of pounds, (£'s) and I set a take-profit of, say, $15 or 10 pips and a stop-loss of my whole $1,000 and and keep on doing this, taking profits by trend trading and make this same $15/day for the 6 days the FX market is open a week, or $90/week x 52 weeks = $4,680 in 1 year + my original $1,000 = a 568% return for one year. After I have achieved my 568% for 1 year, reinvest all capital and get another 568% compounded on top of that. So, it works as follows: year 1) $1,000 up 568% = $5,680 year 2) $5,680 up 568% = $32,262.40 year 3) $32,262.40 up 568% = $183,250.43 year 4) $183,250.43 up 568% = $1,040,862.40 = USD millionaire year 5) $1,040,862.40 up 568% = $5,912,098.74 = USD multimillionaire and GBP multimillionaire, or £3,829,025.15. What do you say here like? Could this plan work do you think?
Forex EA needed - programmers wanted? Hi, Can someone help me with an EA that will open a buy/sell order if the price hits the previous candles high/low? I use the h1 chart and would ideally like to be able to set stop loss, take profit and possibly trailing stop with the EA. Even more beneficial would be an option to set how many pips away from the previous high/low trades should be entered. Thanks, Rich.
I have a serious problem with my Java and it's affecting my work!? Ok, I work on the website http://www.fxstreet.com/rates-charts/forex-rates/ Now this opens a box that has prices and currencies and it changes every few seconds. Green arrows and red arrows appear, that indicated the live activity of the site. Anyways, everything works well on my desktop XP with Java 1.5 (the icon of a blue cup of coffee). BUT, it does not work on my laptop Vista even though I've installed v 6.0 (the orange box icon). The numbers in the box appear just they don't move! That indicated that the application is not working! Now don't tell me the site ain't working, because it's only on that computer. By the way, I've tried everything that uses Java on my laptop from applications to games and they all work!! How can I fix that problem with that site, please, because that's basically my work and it all depends on that stupid Java. I really really need help. Thanks!!
how to create an Exchange Rate Chart in Excel? I'm trying to create a chart for an exchange rate between any 2 assets. You can easily see charts like this on any forex website, like a EUR/USD chart for example. But I want to create my own exchange rate, like let's say: $Lumber/$Gold, or $Cattle/$Hog. I have the 2 columns of price data for each commodity, but I don't know what to do with them! For some reason this should be really simple, but it's just not coming to me. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks
What do you think is a better business idea? So...sort of as a part of my new year's resolution - i am now hesitating between 2 potential ideas that i plan to develop - aside from my day job. That is: Idea no 1: A website which charges just $1 commission for trades on complex financial instruments: Like CFDs, Forex Options, Bonds, etc. Problems with this idea: At least a few hundred thousands to start with since even a license in Antigua and Barbuda for such thing would cost $50k + and i need also substancial capital to cover leverage. But i have just about $40k to start with and my credit rating isn't good to hope for a bank business loan. Idea no 2: A professional finance software program: which tries to predict stock prices via neural networks. The same program will test strategies on historical data and calculate things that aren't available online: Like SABR volatility or Bond option prices. Problems: Do people really need such things? I guess most traders are cocky enough to believe that they need only a chart and a wikipedia article to become a succesfull trader? So...what do you think? Any advice will be of great help! 10x and happy new year!
