A question to professing Christians: Is currency trading a sin? I have been learning about currency trading for a couple years now. I am planning on investing in the short term, but I am afraid currency trading might be considered usury or something that could be considered sinful. I know Christians who trade or are somewhat involved in trading, but I don't think I should do as they do only because they are Christians and therefore, right. I do not want to offend God. I hope I can get serious answers. Thank you so much in advance for your help. May God bless you all.

Recommend currency trading books for beginners? I've always been interested in the foreign exchange markets and I want to learn more before getting into it. The problem is that whenever I come across a book for beginners, the reviews are so conflicting that I don't want to take the risk of reading it and confusing myself. Ones that don't favor certain companies and business; just a basic straight-forward introduction on foreign exchange and getting started.
Is Foreign Currency Trading worth it, and does it work? My father is willing to pay me to use a Foreign Currency Trading software basically all day every day. But, we've researched that it is a large investment to get the software to be able to do it. They're advertising that if you do it all day, everyday you can make "a lot" of money per year off of this. I am concerned before we pay for the software if the program really does work and if you are able to make money off of it?

What is the best site for trading stocks and currency exchange? I am completely new to the world of trading stocks or currency, but I want to get started. I see ads for all these different websites (ameritrade, etrade, etc.), and I was wondering, which (if any) would be the best for a beginner? I'm not looking to get rich quick, but I would like to start investing my money for the long term. Also, which if any of these sites offers a way to trade currencies? Ideally, I would become a member of the site with the best combination of both of these (trading stocks and currency). Thanks
Why should $ USD be the trading currency for all our international transaction? All our international transaction occurs in USD & not in INR. This occurs no matter whom we trade with. For example we buy crude oil from Saudi Arabia, yet we pay them in $ & not in Rial or INR. Why should we use $ in payment, why not INR or some other country be the trading currency. This not the case with India, all over the world they do this. Other dominant currency is euro. But why should international monetory be controled by rich nations, why not it be poor nation. Why should a fate of one country be decided by other country ?
Is there any country that doesn't allow free currency and gold trading? According to this article: http://vietnambusiness.asia/crackdown-fears-chill-vietnam%E2%80%99s-dollar-black-market/ Vietnam seems to be the only country that doesn't allow free currency and gold trading (besides North Korea, possibly). But that's just my guess, so do you know any other bizarre country that forbids its citizen from free currency trading?

What's the best way to prepare for trading currency? I'd like to start investing in currency, but i have no idea where to start. I'm not interested in misleading online forums, and online courses. I'd prefer to hear about textbooks, novels, basically anything that will give me a solid understanding of what makes currency values rise and fall. Also, what is your honest opinion of trading in the Forex market? Is it over hyped? Is it really that difficult to earn, say $1,000 dollars of return every month? Please list whether you're talking from experience, or research. Thanks.
How risky is currency trading? I recently tried out a currency traiding simulator created by a company named ACM and made a considerable amount of money ( unfortunately none of it real as it was only a simulator). THis has left me wondering whether to start up an account with them and start currency trading. But I am worried about losing all my savings. Everything went extremely well on the simulator, but does anyone know how risky it might be?
Anyone currently doing any Forex currency trading? As with any investment, I understand there are risks. Currency Trading: is it a viable long term way to make money from home? I went to an introduction to FOREX (foreign exchange) class recently and they were telling us how with a good education in FOREX you can consistently make money, and good money too, since you are trading 50 or 100 times what you have in your trading account. The complete course is $2000 and they were pushy for us to take the class so I didn't feel so confident about it, but i read up on the subject a bit and did a trial trade for about 30 days, I was up a lot at one point (about $8000) but in the end of the month i pretty muich broke even. WIth more knowledge and a proper education on the subject can it be a long term way of makin money? DEAR ALL, thanks for your responses, overall you seem to think currency trading is high risk and not really a viable way of making money from home. I should have mentioned in my question that if i were to do it, i would want to rely more on technical analysis and all the ratios and different theorems etc. I would also be making trades that are from about 30 minutes to at most one day. Does this change anyones opinion on the subject?

I'm a college student so a couple hundred bucks is probably all I could put in adn that's even stretching it a little.
